Gold Coast Chinese Sharks Fin and
Seafood Restaurant Reviews Review submitted 4th November 2011 - by Scott from Sydney I went in on Friday lunch for their Yum Cha. I was a bit worried that there were only 2 other tables with people dining. There were no yum cha trolleys, you just ordered the Yum Cha dishes you wanted off the menu with 30 choices plus they had about 12 other specials to choose from. But I was pleasantly surprised with some really good, fresh yum cha dishes. I ordered my favourites, steamed prawn dumplings, steamed pork dim sims and BBQ pork buns and the waitress used her Chinese mind trick to get me to take another dish, she just said 'and you want salt and pepper calamari!'. I reckon the Chinese invented up selling way before McDonald's introduced 'would you like fries with that?'. The 2 top dishes were the steamed prawn dumplings, just delicious with fresh prawns which were firm and not soggy and the salt and pepper calamari, which the waitress had insisted I try were awesome, a bit oily which the health conscious may turn their noses up at but the taste was fantastic and the calamari also fresh and firm.
