Chiangmai Thai Restaurant Reviews Review submitted 7th November 2011 - by Scott from Sydney This restaurant looks so cool with all the Thai decorations and you really need to make a reservation unless you turn up later in the evening. I had a reservation for 8pm on a Monday night and the restaurant was packed and I still have to wait a few minutes for my table. The service was a bit slow though I guess it was because they were busy. It took over 15 minutes before they came and took the order - no drink or water in this time. The entree came out fairly fast. I ordered the Tom Kha Chicken which is one of my favourite dishes and I was really disappointed with this, it was very bland, not spicy and not a lot of flavour with just chicken and strips of onion in the soup. After I finished the entree it was another 20 minutes before the main meal came out - the Red Curry beef. Now this was delicious, nice thick sauce full of spicy flavour and the beef was tender and tasty. Acouple of times I turned around the try to order another beer though never could get the attention of the waiters or waitresses - also a bit disappointing. I would try this place again and just guess I went on a busy night with not as many staff as they should have had. Overall a good restaurant.
