Bamboo Basket Chinese Restaurant
Reviews Review submitted 14th January 2012 - from Charlie I've been to Bamboo Basket on several occasions with family and I have to say this restaurant is my favourite restaurant in Brisbane. It is the perfect combination of classy and comfortable and the food is incredible. Although I have tried some main dishes (which are very tasty!), I can rarely pull myself away from their Dim Sum menu. Every time I visit I order their soup dumplings which never fail to be a crowd pleaser and recently tried their prawns wrapped in tofu skin which was delicious too. I strongly recommend this sensational restaurant. Review submitted 11th June 2011 - from Scott Bamboo Basket Chinese Restaurant has all the ingredients to be a popular, high-class Chinese restaurant. A great location on Grey Street Southbank, great decor and a unique menu specialising in Shanghai cuisine. I ordered their specialty - the Shanghai pork soup dumplings which were delicious. The Kung Po chicken was very tasty with the right amount of spice BUT the rice that came with the chicken dish was dry which sort of spoiled the meal. Overall I still very much enjoyed it.
